The Program on Impact Partnerships is designed to identify and create research partnerships across Columbia University research centers (and scientists) with external private sector partners. The program also aims to find ways to support students interested in the intersection of Social & Environmental Sustainability.
We co-create solutions for sustainability by combining the sustainability, research know-how of academic research units, with private sector efficiency and influence to create meaningful, impact driven change for society. In addition we provide knowledge sharing opportunities, build meaningful research-practice partnerships, and provide professional development support to students interested in social and environmental sustainability.
The program works closely with different CU departments including Columbia Climate School's Office of Research and CU's Industry Relations Group and various departments to create interdisciplinary research projects.
