Preeti Srinivasan

Preeti Srinivasan
Stanford Graduate School of Business School, Organizational Behavior

Preeti Srinivasan is a PhD Student in Organizational Behavior at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Prior to her PhD, she received her BA in Cognitive Neuroscience & Evolutionary Psychology from Harvard University, and her MA in Economics from Yale University. She researches prosocial behavior and altruism, especially as these behaviors intersect with diversity and inclusion initiatives in the workplace. Specifically, she is interested in helping people recognize their own forms of privilege, and be better allies to people who are "different" from them on important dimensions (ex: gender, race, sexual orientation). In a nutshell, her research agenda helps minority candidates in organizations overcome common obstacles to feeling heard, validated, and understood. When she's not hanging out in the ivory tower of academia, Preeti enjoys reading (usually historical fiction novels), doing theater or improv, and baking incessantly.

Merrick Osborne

Merrick Osborne
Marshall School of Business, Department of Management and Organization

Merrick is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Management and Organization at the Marshall School of Business. Currently, Merrick is interested in studying how our knowledge of the forms and functions of social hierarchy help disadvantaged group members challenge the status quo. Recently, Merrick has investigated how disadvantaged group members view allies who confront prejudice, with the intent of developing a broader understanding of dynamics that arise within prejudice confrontations.
